NetBox Blue on display at Computex
NetBox Blue will be cementing its position in the Asian market with a presence at Computex, the upcoming Taipei International Technology Show. The Brisbane-based internet and email security and management provider is to be supported by the Queensland Government at the premier trade show, later this year.
The event which runs from June 3-7 is the world's second largest IT show, covering 69,183 square metres of space. Computex Taipei is expected to host 4,000 booths and attract 35,000 international buyers.
"Computex will be a great opportunity for NetBox Blue to showcase its unique security and management solutions," NetBox Blue Chairman John Fison says. "The Asian market is a key pillar in our international expansion plans and we are looking forward to adding to the relationships that we have already developed in the region."
NetBox Blue has just signed a multi-million dollar Master Distribution Agreement with Canon to supply up to 500 email filtering devices a month to its Japanese clients. The Spam Checker, as it will be known in Japan, is a simple to use email filtering and content control appliance that sits behind a company's firewall. The drop-in solution is the result of nine months of co-development between NetBox Blue and Canon Japan and is specifically designed to suit the SME market. NetBox Blue is also developing solutions for markets in China, Singapore and the Philippines.
"We have already built strong partnerships in Asia. Our regional manufacturing base is in Taipei and we are planning a regional headquarters in Hong Kong to support our expanding list of Asian partners," Mr Fison says.
"I see Computex Taipei as an important chance to demonstrate just why our solutions are so effective in filtering email and managing internet usage. We welcome the Queensland Government's assistance in that effort."
Queensland Minister for Trade John Mickel congratulated NetBox Blue on its recent multi-million dollar Master Distribution Agreement with Canon Japan and wished the company even more international success in the future.
NetBox Blue is becoming internationally recognised as a world-class source of IT network and system security solutions.
Mr Mickel said that the Queensland Government's export agency, Trade Queensland Taiwan has been working closely with NetBox Blue to help improve the company's profile and position in Asia.
"Trade Queensland Taiwan has recently assisted Netbox to participate at one of the world's leading IT shows, Computex in Taipei, and has arranged a targeted business program for them during the show," said Mr Mickel.
"This is another example of how Trade Queensland works with smart Queensland exporters to help them capture global opportunities."
NetBox Blue will be hosting customers at Computex booth number N307.
